So, this might be a bit of a miss of a guitar by Fender... Just like many of us don’t want to see quality electric guitars from Martin and (Sorry) Taylor, we’re not looking for Fender’s answer to the D-28 either.
Having said that, if you go to your local Fender dealer and ask to hear their newest Acoustasonic series of guitars, this #1 of 25 @fendercustomshop Kingman will become A LOT more appealing. This guitar project was spearheaded by Ren Ferguson and constructed with solid Honduran Rosewood back and sides, AAA Englemann Spruce top and a figured maple neck with ebony fretboard.
The neck features a 10” radius, rolled edges and a soft “V” profile. It has a bone nut and compensated bone saddle. The body is finished in a thin and glossy nitrocellulose finish. This guitar is outfitted with Fishman Matrix Infinity pickup that is a great choice for boomier dreadnought sized guitars.
This guitar is in fabulous shape. It has opened up nicely over the years and sounds fabulous. There is little to no fret wear and it is setup perfectly with plenty of remaining saddle height. There are some scratches on the lower bout of this guitar which can be seen in the photos.
This guitar will include the COA, paperwork, strap, Cruz tools and case candy original to the guitar. This is a fabulous dreadnought guitar that rivals any comparable in price. Great addition for any Fender collector. Especially one seeking a VERY high-end acoustic guitar. Here’s an opportunity to get one at less than half of the original MSRP.
