Perhaps one of the most iconic guitar shapes Gibson ever created, the Flying V has been used by players ranging from the likes of Albert King and Jimi Hendrix to metal Gods such as Kirk Hammett and Dave Mustaine.
This 2012 Flying V ‘67 Reissue features a lightweight mahogany body/neck combo. The neck has a chunkier 60’s Gibson neck feel with a 24 3/4” scale length and 1 11/16” nut width. This guitar has a set of ‘57 Classic humbuckers which are my personal favourite for this guitar. They have a broader dynamic range than the 490 set and sound equally great whether you’re playing clean or in high-gain situations. It weighs in at a little over 6lbs.
This example is in great overall condition. There is a minor ding which can be seen in the last photo. A previous owner upgraded the tuners to set of Grovers. They are more stable and offer better tuning stability than the originals. This will include its original Gibson hard case.
