2002 is the first year of Gibson’s modern ES-137. These were built in the Memphis factory and although akin to the ES-175, the ES-135 has a center block and thinner body. These share the same 24.75 scale as other ES models and also the predominantly maple construction.
This one has aged nicely and shows wear and some patina throughout. Aside from the wear, this guitar has very little fret wear and is in perfect working order. The 490/498 pickup combination works extremely well and this guitar lends itself to any guitar player seeking a semi-hollow, but looking to be different.
This guitar will include its original case.
