1992 Fender Strat Plus
The first ever Strat Plus debuted in 1987 and was derived from a guitar that had been made in the Custom Shop for Jeff Beck. The series has went through various changes in its run from 1987-1999, but was always considered an industry standard for the working pro who needed a stable Strat that would always hold tune and be whisper quiet through an amp.
Here we have an earlier 1992 Fender Strat Plus in Frost Red. Fender offered about 12 different shades of red finishes and Frost Red is one of the lesser common shades. This version has the brushed steel Schaller branded tuners and was the last year with the non-split Wilkinson Nut.
This guitar is completely original and in fabulous shape. The frets have hardly any wear and will last a lifetime for most players. No signs of any fresh solder on any of the joints and the pickups function perfectly. The original Tremsetter is in the case and even the case is in fabulous shape. The trussrod is fully functional and shows no signs of stripping. The owner of this instrument was meticulous and it certainly shows.
There are a couple of minor dings on the body and one minor indentation on the headstock. Otherwise, this guitar is virtually flawless and is about as clean as you can find.
