Coined “The Ultimate Couch Guitar” by the incomparable Tom Bukovac and the guitar of choice for the highly revered Grant Green, the Gibson ES-330TDC is one of Gibson’s most under appreciated guitars.
This example appears to have been sitting under ground in a time capsule and is amongst the cleanest vintage guitars I have ever seen. This guitar is completely original with the exception of it’s hard shell case. The original pickups sound fabulous and are well balanced. The electronics are fully functional with zero quirks. The original frets have been dressed and still have plenty of music left in them.
There are some minor finish checks and swirls throughout the guitar. There is some discolouration on some binding areas, but overall, this guitar is nearly immaculate. It sports a not-uncommon slightly off-kilter headstock inlay which makes for a great talking point when showing it off to your blues lawyer buddies.
This would make an incredible addition to any collection and is sure to continue to appreciate in value as the price of new guitars continues to climb.
